Bettinardi Introduces Its First Line of Golf Irons

Bettinardi golf putters have been a popular staple in the bags of many players the world over, thanks to their impeccable milling and fantastic results on the green. But Bettinardi has now revealed they’re stepping away from the short game for the first time, by introducing their own line of golf irons.

Bettinardi golf irons bring together all the great elements of golf club forging that have made the company such a popular name in the putting realm for so many years. These have been seamlessly injected into irons that are as visually striking as they are practically useful on the course.

With two separate sets to choose from, depending on your skill level and what you’re hoping to achieve from your golf irons, players of all tastes will find something to enjoy in Bettinardi golf irons. Let’s examine these new irons further, and find out whether or not they’d make a great addition to your golfing arsenal…

CB24 and MB24 options

Bettinardi has opted to release its first line of golf irons in two separate categories, titled CB24 and MB24.

The Bettinardi MB24 line is specifically designed for more skilled and experienced golfers, seeking to maintain consistent scores and pinpoint accuracy. Notable differences from its brother include a slightly thinner topline, an alternate muscleback design and ultra-precise weighting - ideal for players confident in their striking and who aren’t in need of much forgiveness in their shots.

Whereas the Bettinardi CB24 line is focussed around lesser-experienced players, but also those that possess a decent level of golfing ability, looking to take a step up. These irons feature a more noticeable cavity back, which aids in both forgiveness and higher launches, while also presenting a boosted moment-of-inertia.

In either case, both sets of irons are produced with the same level of care and attention to detail that made Bettinardi a force to be reckoned with in the short game for decades.

One-piece and tri-material build

One of the factors that have led so many golfers to choose Bettinardi products is their dedication to the forging process. This process is present yet again in both new sets of irons, with high-quality carbon steel used to produce the clubs to an unbelievably precise detail.

But Bettinardi golf irons also benefit from several other additions utilised by other modern irons produced by top-name brands. Specifically, the inclusion of separate materials in the head to offer golfers improved results in numerous departments. In this case, high-density tungsten and military-grade CMC (Ceramic Matrix Composite) have been integrated into the iron heads, promoting excellent balance, forgiveness and impact responsivity in every shot.

Bettinardi irons cost

At release (April 5, 2024), Bettinardi irons have been listed by the official Bettinardi site (and other stockists) with a price of $1600 - this is the same for both the MB64 and CB64 lines. For this, players receive a 7-club set (4 to PW). While there are cheaper options available on the market, given the reputation of Bettinardi as a company and how they like to promote their products as top-of-the-line, the price point should come as no surprise.

Do any professionals use Bettinardi golf clubs?

Bettinardi has a selection of tour players who are sponsored to use their clubs. At the moment, the most notable name on that lineup is Matt Fitzpatrick. A former U.S. Open and British Masters champion, Fitzpatrick has opted to use a Bettinardi putter on the green since linking up with the brand and has enjoyed considerable success since then. But there’s every chance we will see the rest of the Bettinardi team, and potentially other notable players, opting to use Bettinardi irons in the coming months and years.
