Though both are acceptable on the golf course, deciding between a short and long-sleeved polo shirt often comes down to the weather conditions.

If you’re playing a round of golf in the winter, you’ll be glad of the extra layer of warmth provided by a long-sleeved ladies’ golf shirt.

Some golf courses demand players wear their shirts tucked into their pants, skirt or skort.

It’s worth noting that some ladies’ golf shirts are designed to be untucked though – providing a more casual look on the links. Much like any other, these have a collar, but they taper towards the bottom.

Before you start bending the rules and untucking your polo shirt, check if the course has a dress code.
