Lyle and Scott – a bit about the brand

It all began in 1874 when William Lyle and Walter Scott had the aspiration to create high-quality underwear for the everyday man.

They quickly progressed to knitwear (i.e. jumpers, sweatshirts, polos, cardigans, etc.) and, over the years, Lyle and Scott formed collaborations with various designer brands, including Dior in 1954, shortly followed by Chanel, Michael Kors and Yves Saint Laurent.

By 1960, the brand became widely recognised for its golf apparel. And Lyle and Scott remains a famous Scottish knitwear brand today – committed to providing clothing that is as stylish as it is functional by fusing athletic performance with technical features.
