The face of the Ping G730 Golf Irons is thin and flexible due to the use of hyper 17-4 stainless steel and heat treating techniques. This not only lowers the center of gravity for higher launching shots, but also increases ball speed by up to two miles per hour, resulting in an additional five yards of distance.
The enlarged head and broader sole of the investment cast design increase the moment of inertia in both planes, boosting forgiveness for better precision. Golfers will also observe a greater amount of offset, and the perimeter-weighted structure is reinforced with a proven PurFlex cavity badge for improved feel and a more commanding sound.
Custom-engineered lofts aid in maximizing distance and optimizing distance gaps. The set's four wedges have machined faces and grooves for enhanced control. The availability of both power and retro spec lofts allows for further performance optimization by fitters.
