Featuring two new grinds and a wider range of loft options, the Ping S159 wedges have raised the bar for wedge performance and fitting flexibility. These highly versatile wedges were developed with feedback from PGA tour players and cater to golfers of all skill levels.
The precision-milled wheel-cut grooves, with varying dimensions and tighter spacing on higher lofted options, couple with a friction-adding face blast to provide maximum control and spin for every shot. The 8620 carbon steel head boasts a sleek, square lead edge and a seamless hosel transition for improved aesthetics and playability. Additionally, an elastomer insert behind the face lends a soft and responsive feel, making the S159 wedges a top choice for golfers looking to improve their wedge game.
New “H” or Half-Moon Grind: This grind is a valuable choice for golfers who possess a steep angle of attack and prefer to manipulate the handle for a versatile playing experience. It excels in softer conditions and comes in 54°, 56°, 58°, and 60° options.
New “B” Grind: Ideal for those with a shallow angle of attack and neutral face delivery. The B-Grind's low-bounce design sits low on the turf on square face shots, providing forgiveness via the sole width to deliver score-lowering performance in firmer conditions. Available in 58°, 60°
“T” Grind: Ping's most versatile option. This allows players to manipulate the face for shot-making precision around the greens. Available in 58°, 60°, 62°
“W” Grind: Perfect for golfers seeking maximum forgiveness through the turf & those with a steep angle of attack who might also have a lot of handle lean and a player who prefers the look of a specialty wedge but relies on a little more forgiveness in their scoring clubs. Available in 54°, 56°, 58°, 60°
“E” or Eye2 Grind: Building on a 40-year tradition of helping golfers get up and down from the sand. The E-Grind is the perfect bunker wedge. It plays with relatively low bounce on square or slightly open face shots. Available in 54°, 56°, 58°, 60°
“S” Grind: Designed with ample bounce in the mid-section to play full shots and provides greenside versatility due to heel/trail edge relief. Available in 46°, 48°, 50°, 52°, 54°, 56°, 58°, 60°
