Cobra Wedge Technology
Golf wedges are ideal for beginners and seasoned golfers alike.
Although best used for tricky situations on the green (i.e. shots from the bunker or rough), they are a useful club to have in your golf bag for various situations and can help with chipping, pitching, and lobbing. Cobra wedges are no exception.
Something that makes these wedges stand out is their shape. Unlike former releases, they are much smoother and rounder. The King Cobra wedges have improved in terms of set-up and feel – they are much softer and provide more confidence behind the ball.
Metal Injection Moulding (MIM) is a precise method of manufacturing that is used to produce detailed and complex shapes. Whilst this technique has previously been used to create smaller structures like tungsten weights in golf clubs, the Cobra MIM wedge is the first of its kind to boast a fully metal injection moulded head.
Each face of the wedge has been precision-milled for maximum performance and a circular pattern is used to maximise spin.
The great thing about the Cobra MIM wedge is that it’s a versatile club – suitable for all handicap levels – and can be used in several different lies.
Featuring a nostalgic throwback King Cobra logo – nodding to the brand’s history – the Cobra Snakebite wedge offers a modern look with plenty of technology on show.
The wedge itself is developed using the new ‘Snakebite Groove Technology’ and a re-engineered cutting method to tighten groove tolerances whilst making the grooves as sharp and accurate as possible.
Each groove is 11% deeper with 40% sharper edges to maximise spin at impact, even from poor lies. Fittingly, the Cobra Snakebite wedge produces more “bite” around the greens and is a classic shape which makes it appealing to most avid golfers.
