COBRA DS-ADAPT GOLF FAIRWAY WOODS
The right fairway wood can be the make-or-break factor between reaching the green in record time and falling drastically short of your golfing goals. So make the wise choice with a Cobra DS-Adapt Fairway Wood.
Cobra has been working hard to produce a series of Fairways that deliver towering ball flights and ball speeds, while encouraging the clubface to remain square thanks to improved aerodynamics on the downswing.
It works impeccably well as a traditional fairway wood, but the addition of new and innovative technologies truly makes Cobra DS-Adapt Fairways a standout addition to the current golf market.
Specifically, the FutureFit33 adjustable hosel system allows players to shift the loft and lie settings of the club in 33 unique positions. This means the fairway always interacts with the ball, tee and turf in a way that best suits your preferred swing style or face angle, for unmatched versatile shot-making.
Speaking of adjustability, adjustable heel and toe weights combined with back weighting encourage a higher launch and help optimise spin and forgiveness, for pinpoint accuracy off the tee or off the deck.
The recognisable Cobra PWR-BRIDGE internal adaptive weighting system makes a return in the DS-Adapt fairway lineup, along with extra tungsten weighting in the heel and toe areas for tighter dispersion.
A multi-material construction featuring titanium and a carbon crown helps keep the club lightweight while promoting even weight distribution. Not only does this help deliver maximum carry distance, but it also aids durability, so your fairway wood will last for years to come.
But if distance and ball speeds are your main concern, you'll be thrilled to know Cobra's H.O.T face technology is present here, featuring a larger forged face insert for greater face flex and increased speed creation.

As a rule of thumb, you should only ever carry up to two fairway woods in your bag in any given game.
Which specific woods you wish to carry, though, is another decision entirely.
The Cobra DS-Adapt Fairway Wood range is available in a variety of different lofts - including 3-wood, 5-wood, 7-wood and more - giving you plenty of opportunity to not only choose the right fairway wood to complement your game, but to choose the specific lofts you need to achieve the desired results.

Cobra DS-Adapt Fairway Woods and Hybrids are both good choices to keep in your bag, though they serve very different purposes and it’s important to choose the correct club given the situation at hand.
Fairway woods are most often used on your second shot, where you should be on the fairway and there is still a considerable way to go to the pin.
Hybrids, on the other hand, are made to bridge the gap between fairway woods and long irons, offering the distance of a wood combined with the accuracy of an iron. Traditionally, they’re known as ‘rescue clubs’ for their ability to get players out of the rough, without sacrificing accuracy or yardage.
Having both a Cobra DS-Adapt Fairway Wood and Hybrid in your bag will give you the best of both worlds.
-
Absolutely. Depending on the distance from the tee to the pin, using a Cobra DS Adapt Fairway Wood on your first strike could be the best option.
There are plenty of Par 3s (and even a few Par 4s) where using a Cobra Fairway off the tee would make more sense than using a driver. If the hole is particularly short, your driver could send the ball flying straight over the green, resulting in a terrible score.
Whereas a Cobra Fairway could drop the ball neatly on or beside the green, for a simple chip or putt to finish.
